Goodlettsville is where my family & I had a home for 23 yrs before we lost it to a fire on May 4, 2015. It is a city that is a suburb outside of Nashville on the North side. You will find the Dollar General Stores corporate offices based in Goodlettsville and it is expanding its hotels on Conference Drive to attract all the out of town travelers that come through the town. It has tons of shopping in Rivergate and the mall as well. If you like antiques then you will find plenty of shops that sell anything you may be looking for in this small town. It is made up of both Davidson & Sumner Counties.
Have fun at Moss Wright Park with the family and fur babies too or enjoy a round of golf at Twelve Stones Golf Club.
Goodlettsville was named for A. G. Goodlett, pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 1848 to 1853. Goodlettsville is incorporated under the City Manager/Commission charter. The Board of Commissioners is made up of five members elected at-large. The five members then select a Mayor and Vice-Mayor within themselves, much like a board selects a chair and vice-chair.
