If you are wondering what Sumner county has to offer, then I am going to tell you a little about it in this post!

Sumner County is made up of many cities in Middle TN, not far from Nashville.  Homes range anywhere from about $175,000 up to Millions, depending on where you want to be or what your budget is.  Home values are on the rise, so anything less than that is for the investors that are wanting to "flip" houses or renovate and resale.  I love living, eating and working in Sumner County.  I actually graduated from Beech High School in 1990, which is in Hendersonville, TN.....Go Bucs!  If you go to the pop downs in my website you can click on the cities and I give you a brief description on the areas.  But, I want to go over just the Sumner County cities in this blog post.

Goodlettsville, TN is a suburb outside of Nashville and is about 15 min from Nashville.  Goodletssville is made up of 3 counties - Davidson, Sumner and Robertson.  It has changed over the years and used to be a small city, but has grown so much over the years.  It has a City Hall, Huge Fire Department, Hotels, Auto Parts Stores, Rivergate Mall, Shopping, Eating places, Park, Dog Park, Golf Course, Antique Malls and the location makes it easy to be in surrounding cities in no time.  Goodlettsville is right off of I-65.  We lived there for 23 years before we lost our home & everything we owned in 2015 to a fire and moved to Portland, TN in Sumner County.  Enjoy country or city life in Goodlettsville, TN!

Hendersonville, TN is another city in Sumner County known at "The City by the Lake!"  Home to recreation, whether it be boating, parks, walking or nature.  You can literally eat, sleep, work and play in Hendersonville.  Shopping galore and the Streets of Indian Lake offer eating and shopping.  Lots of communities including lake front homes, neighborhoods and more rural housing with some land.  School districts include Beech, Station Camp & Hendersonville.  Sams Club, lots of dining experiences, along with so many options for living in different communities are all down Indian Lake. Vietnam Veterans Parkway (386) gives you easy access to all the main roads in Hendersonville or you have Long Hollow Pike and Main Street as well.  My family & I are members of Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club and enjoy our social membership and dining.  But, if you like golf then you will enjoy a golf membership and you can also dock your boat there as well.  I like to hold business meetings there and you can do holiday parties and weddings at this beautiful venue.

Gallatin, TN is next to Hendersonville and is located in Sumner County.  Old Hickory lake still runs through Gallatin, so you can enjoy lake life and buy a lake front home there too.  Gallatin has a city square that gives you the small town feel with shopping, eating and businesses.  Enjoy country club life and living in Foxland Harbor and Fairvue Plantation with a wide range of prices of homes and choices. Whether you are looking for a condo, town home or single family home Gallatin gives you plenty of choices and new homes being built daily.

Portland, TN is ever growing and values have sky rocketed over the past 5 years here.  We moved to Portland in 2015, after our fire and love it here.  It is close to Gallatin and the Cottontown or White House areas.  There was a new exchange (exit) on interstate 65 that was just completed over a year or so ago.  This makes it nice if you work in Nashville and takes time off of your drive.  Portland is known for Strawberries and has a cute little town square with picture taking areas with life size strawberries.  You can also take the family to the park or library!  New Contruction homes are going up all the time and I have brought a lot of clients here to live and they enjoy it.  You can also be in Franklin, KY in no time or we can be in Gallatin in 12 minutes because we live on the Gallatin side of Portland.  Since it's conventient to KY, my Cadillac dealership is in Bowling Green, so that makes it nice for me because I say no matter what store you are looking for, you can find it in Bowling Green....lol!  Except for Costco!

White House & Cottontown, TN is in Sumner County!  These areas have grown over the past few years and people say they love the feel of the area.....like a small town feel with plenty to do.  There is a greenway to enjoy with the family and pets or shopping, restaurants and local businesses.  Great place to eat, sleep, live and work here and is like an extension of White House.  I can remember when White House wasn't so big in the 80's and I thought I would never want to live here because there is nothing to do here....lol!  Boy was I wrong...well not for the era in time though.  Many families are drawn there and home sales and values have been booming for years!

Westoreland and Bethpage areas are part of Sumner County and many are moving further out from all the hustle and bustle so lots of building going on in these areas.  I find myself showing more and more homes there over the past year because of all of the other areas experiencing so much growth.  It's now pushing people out a little further.  Beautiful countryside is almost like you are in Gatlinburg when you drive through the back roads.  Although, this is like many areas in Sumner County!

If you are planning to move here then I would advise you to look in Sumner County because we have so much to offer and still be close to Nashville!  I'd be happy to help you no matter where you want to be!
